PUBLIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR VARIANCE BEFORE THE MENTOR MUNICIPAL BOARD OF BUILDING AND ZONING APPEALS

MENTOR COUNCIL CHAMBERS 8500 CIVIC CENTER BLVD., MENTOR, OHIO

VICTOR BAUCCO FOR 6305 TALL OAKS DRIVE, PP16-C-080-B-00-057-0 requesting an Administrative Appeal of the Chief Building Official's order requiring completion and correction of residential work under Building Permit (RESB-8-21-47951) in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.

PRINCE OF PEACE CHURCH FOR 7193 REYNOLDS ROAD, PP16-C-070-0-00-029-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1171.20(c)(d)(1) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 35.90-sq.-ft. electronic message center with a width of 6.33-ft. and a height of 5.67-ft. in lieu of sign area not exceed 15-sq.-ft., the width not exceed 4-ft., and the height not exceed 5-ft. Electronic message centers are prohibited in the R-4, Single Family Residential District.

AGILE SIGN & LIGHTING MAINTENANCE FOR 9210 MENTOR AVENUE UNIT A, PP16-A-026-0-00-012-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1171.18(e)(1) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow 60-sq.-ft. of total wall signage in lieu of the code maximum 43.25-sq.-ft. based off the front building width in the B-2, General Business District.

MICHAEL BOHONOS FOR 5698 BIRCHWOOD DRIVE, PP16-D-095-I-00-043-0 requesting a variance to Sec.1165.01(b)(3)(4) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow an 840-sq.-ft. detached garage in lieu of detached garages shall not exceed 3% of the total parcel area (553-sq.-ft.), and all lots are permitted a 576-sq.-ft. detached garage, plus 50% of the permitted floor area for a storage building may be allocated towards a detached garage, which is 139-sq.-ft. for a maximum allowable area of 692-sq.-ft. in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.

MARY BETH KLEMENCIC FOR 4452 BRIGHTON ROAD, PP16-D-119-B-00-011,012-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1155.01(b) of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 260-sq.-ft. home addition at a 5-ft. side setback in lieu of the minimum 10-ft. side setback required in the R-2, Single Family Residential District.

PAUL FULTZ FOR 8899 EDGEHILL, PP16-A-019-D-00-030-0 requesting a variance to Sec. 1165.02 of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 6-ft. high solid fence within the side setback abutting a side street in lieu of fences within side setbacks abutting side streets shall be decorative, not exceed 4-ft. in height, and have a minimum setback of 10-ft. in the R-4, Single Family Residential District.

OMNI SENIOR LIVING FOR 8180 & 8190 MENTOR HILLS DRIVE, PP16-A-006-0-00-013-0 requesting a variance Sec. 1171.18(d)(2) A & C of the Mentor Code of Ordinances to allow a 91.67-sq.-ft. ground sign with a 9.16-ft. width for the Vitalia Senior Living project in lieu of maximum sign area shall not exceed 40-sq.-ft. and the width shall not exceed 5-ft. in the B-1, Community Service District.

JAMES FUTTY FOR 7603 SILVER BEECH LANE, PP16-A-002-D-00-016-0 requesting an Administrative Appeal of the Chief Building Official's order requiring completion and correction of residential work under Building Permit (RESB-9-20-44333) in the R-4, Single Family Residential District.
